The modern era of spirit communication began in 1848 by the Fox sisters (15 year old Maggie and 11 year old Kate) in Hydesville New York in the United States.
For the next 50 years thousands of family groups all over the world duplicated their experiences. Along with personal messages from loved ones, spirits also dictated hundreds of fascinating books through automatic writing.
And it continues to this day! In fact, one recent medium (Francisco Cândido ‘Chico’ Xavier), over a period of 60 years, published 496 books that were dictated by various spirits. This is even more amazing considering that he also worked a full-time job as a clerk.
